Lesson Objectives
In this lesson, we will:
Define the terms: symbols, national pride, and ambassadors.
Identify all national symbols of The Bahamas.
Identify Bahamians who have contributed to producing our national symbols.
Identify the flags of the United Nations and the world e.g. Japan, Switzerland, Australia, Brazil, and South Africa.
Compare and contrast the colonial symbols of the past with the national symbols of today.
Evaluate contributions made by model Bahamians to an independent Bahamas.
